As soon as a report element has been created, you can set up its input data source.

This can be done by clicking the Open Data Source button ( ) on the report setup or the Open Data Source button ( ) on the "Data Source" property editor.

Please take a look at the Input data source editor and Database connectivity topics to learn more about setting up an input data source. Once the data source has been selected, you'll see a list of database resources appear in the Resources list and in the corresponding property editors.
