Report Elements and Page Resources are the elemental building blocks that make up the content of each report page. Drag and drop report elements and page resources on to the current page or onto the document tree. You can also double click on a page resource icon to add that resource onto a page at the current cursor position. Report Elements Page Resources The Report Element
is the most important page element. It allows you to define your reporting
requirements. Target Report document can have an unlimited
number of report elements. Layout and type of each report element can be changed
with a single mouse click. You can drag these these icons onto your report page or double click to insert a new report element at the cursor. Report Element icons: Free Layout - a free layout element creates an area within the report document where instead of a free flowing paginated layout like you might find in a word processor, you have exact placement and scaling capabilities like you would find in a drawing program. Free layout is an element designed to contain other elements and as such, it pops open a new window where you edit all that is contained within the free layout. A document (or report project) may contain one or more free layout elements. A free layout element can encompass the entire report document or share the document with other elements and/or other free layouts.
