Step III. Define reporting fields

After your report setup has been connected to a data source, you can use the fields contained by that data source to set up the report data layout.

You will also be able to create calculated, aggregate or script fields for data manipulation. (See Dictionary Editor)

1. Drag-and-drop fields, which you are going to use for grouping from the resources into your reporting element. They should be dropped onto the left (grouping) section of the report element. This step applies to summary and summary with details report types.

2. Drag-and-drop reporting fields to be used for calculations onto the right (reporting) section of the report element.

3. Drag-and-drop aggregate functions onto a section under a reporting field. (See Aggregate Functions)
